Default PETITION: Make all bounties the same!

Okay, this has probably been brought up before, but I used search and didnt come up with anything...no, really...I swear!

Okay, with Eye of the North out on shelves, I have to say I like the game. But the EotN bounties/hunts are far better then the Sunspear and Lightbringer hunts/bounties.

So make them the same. Make Lightbringer and Sunspear bounties work the same as Norn, Ebon Vanguard and Asura bounties.

So it'll be like this:
Sunspear Patrol Rank: 1
You gain 1 Sunspear point for each enemy you slay in this area. After every 25 kills you gain a random bonus.

While we are at it, lets make the Sunspear title do something like Lightbringer, Norn, Asura, And Ebon Vanguard titles do.

If this was done, a.net would just change the way the LB and SS titles were scaled (require more points for max tiers).

yes true, but lets say they DO scale it up (im gonna say they scale it by 5). Your current rank and number of points also gets multiplied by 5. Besides, with this bounty system, it is a lot easier to get points from bounties. Think about it, for every monster of every kinda you kill, you get 1...4 points depending on what hunter/bounty rank you have on you, PLUS talking to the scouts at the shrines after you hit 25 or 50 or w/e, PLUS the bonuses every 25 kills.
So it would be a hell of a lot easier then "Go kill all the bugs in this zone. By the way, theres only 5 bugs in this zone" and thats the only bounty you (easily) get.

How is this a good idea?

I find the GW:EN bounty system in dire need of an overhaul.

(1) It's infuriating that you only get 1 point per kill. Plus rank 2 rarely kicks in until 100 kills, meaning that you have to waste at least 30 minutes to get a decent bounty.

(2) Also, you need 200,000 for a title track that encompasses only 1/4 of the game. Sunspear / Lightbringer was 50,000, the bounties were 4-8 pts per kill, and the bounties could be undertaken throughout the entire nightfall campaign.

(3) Another grievance I have is that the rampage bonus in GW:EN only lasts 45 seconds. Considering the map sizes in GW:EN are enormous with enemies sparsely spread out, this feature seems extremely poorly thought through.

(4) I also hate how the bonuses every 25 kills are random. No one cares at all about health bonuses (Norn); they just want to get to the rank 4 bounty as quick as possible, and there should be a kill cap for those ranks, so you know exactly when you'll achieve those ranks.

(5) There should be a more passive bounty for bosses. Rarely does that 5 min window pop up to get a bonus from bosses, even if you vanquish an entire zone.

(6) The whole GW:EN system is unbelievably retarded. I desperately hope that the initial bounty is raised to 3-4 pts per kill, with a better rampage bonus and a better boss bonus. Dungeons should give better title track bonuses when repeated. Also, while I'm at it, where is Hard Mode? I didn't get legendary vanquisher to get terrible bounties and have locked chests give 50-66% purples.

We already habe Luxon and Kurcick blessings. You have to buy it in the priests, but we already have them.

We already have Lightbringer.

For Sunspear:
Title. While you are in Elonian land, you gain a HP bonus equal to the sum of the sunspear ranks of all party members that have also their sunspear ranks active, plus 20.

That is, 8 party mebers with rank 10=+100HP
4 players, 4 heroes, rank 7=20+7*4=+48HP

A title that treats those that 'never fight alone'.

/signed And when you level out of a type of bounty instead of truning it off for your character until hard mode how about switching to experience point bounties. So if you level out so Sunspear you can still take the bounties but instead of extra Sunspar you would get extra experience.

Yeah I agree that it's annoying having to kill a specific kind of creature to get SS/LB points, but the thing is you still get more than you do in GWEN even at rank 4 hunt. And besides, SS/LB titles are so easy to get thanks to the junundu wurm and Sulfurous Wastes, so I think it's fine.

If anything they should fix the GWEN bounties so that if you're not near a boss, you don't get the bounty for it or if you're not near a big group you don't get the time attack. And definately take out the stupid useless blessings (Vanguard Commendation, Strength of the Norn, Energy Channel, Great Dwarf's Blessing) unless you have rank 10 or are in HM. We're out there to farm points, not get something useless.

So if anything needs to be changed it's the GWEN bounties. Plus don't require us to go into HM to max them, not everyone likes HM but are forced to go into it just to max a title, and here everyone says if you don't like HM don't go into it.

No. There's no need to do so.
Remember that the max points you can earn in Nightfall are 8 kill.
The max ones in EotN are 5 per kill.
On top of that, points in EotN can be earned anytime, while points in Nightfall stop being earned after a level. And that' won't change.
Just the system of bounty ranks rank and bounty bonuses would be added.

If you make the points earned in Nightfall also 5 per kill, boss bonuses would be less, and the extra points gained with the bonuses of the new system are compensated with less points per kill without them.

Anyways, with the current system people just run to Gates of Desolation and Remains of Sahlahja and farm bosses there again an again.
Why? Because having to dodge monsters around to take the most possible points while clearing areas becomes annoying after a while.

The change should be simple: Talk to a sunspear or priest, pick his bonty, if you talk to the other one, they don't give you anything.

Of course, the bounty rank system needs a little change, like giving the same bonus to all characters in the team instead of 8 different ones, but that's for another thread.
